On Saturday, August 4th, I had the privilege of performing with Christina Montgomery and Rubox for the debut performance of “Radio Free”. We performed half way through the Vokushin: Beatbox Showcase at the Sleeping Moon Cafe in Winter Park. I honestly did not know what to expect at a beatbox showcase, but I was amazed by the amount of talent at the showcase. Besides individual time slots, there was a jam session at the end which consisted of beatboxers, Scratch DJ’s, and freestyle rapping. The next Vokushin will be in 2 months, so be sure to check it out in October.
Radio Free is an acoustic trio based in Orlando, FL. They perform cover music with their own twist ranging from Rock, R&B, Country, and Jazz.
